In November 2023, the KJPP received a global grant to support Ukrainian children and young people.
The KJPP is involved in the European Horizon research project on the problematic use of the Internet by young people.
The Life Crisis Intervention Center offers help to young people in mental health crises. After one year, the therapists have drawn a positive balance.

Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

In addition to its clinical work, the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (KJPP) is intensively involved in research into various disorders affecting children and adolescents. With our basic and applied research, we aim to advance our knowledge of the mechanisms of mental disorders.

We investigate the causes of mental disorders in children and adolescents. The central aim is to conduct multimodal research into mental illnesses and, building on this, to apply the latest research findings to patient care.
