Understanding the Neuroscience of Human Communication
Prof. Dr. Nathalie Giroud
The Neurosciences of Communication, Language, and Cognition research group investigates how the human brain enables people to hear, speak, understand language, and connect with others. By combining neuroscience, psychiatry, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies, we aim to improve the diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders and alterations across the lifespan.
The NeuroComm lab is part of the University Hospital of Psychiatry Zurich (including both, the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry as well as the Department of Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy). Furthermore, we are affiliated with the Department of Computational Linguistics of the University of Zurich.
