Research Interest

Our research focuses on the study of developmental trajectories and the training of brain networks for cognition and language in childhood and adolescence. We are particularly interested in the specific characteristics of these networks in children and adolescents who face these developmental disorders in school, especially reading and spelling disorders (LRS) or psychiatric disorders such as depression or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

We use a variety of cognitive neuroscience techniques, such as electroencephalography (EEG) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and are continually developing their applications to gain a deeper understanding of the child's brain. Our multimodal approach aims to gain a comprehensive and differentiated understanding of different developmental processes and changes in multicausal disorders, and to use neuroscientific knowledge to improve prediction, prevention, diagnosis, training and therapy.
