Research focus: Sleep electrophysiology, neuromodulation (auditory stimulation, temporal interference stimulation), epilepsy
Short Description: My research focuses on the generation and function of sleep-specific brain activity and its targeted modulation using non-invasive neuromodulation. Characterizing the underlying mechanisms in healthy individuals provides the foundation, while studies in patients, particularly those with epilepsy, investigate how these processes are altered, how neuromodulation can be used to modulate them, and the potential this holds for clinical translation into diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
