CV

Research focus: Early detection of bipolar disorders or disorders from the schizophreniform spectrum in children and adolescents. Sleep electrophysiology and the relationships between sleep, perceptual processes, and neurocognitive aspects in adolescence.

Short Description: Sleep is a fundamental pillar of development and mental health. My research uses questionnaires, interviews, and portable high-resolution EEG to investigate how sleep is associated with changes in thinking and perceptual processes during wakefulness in adolescents. Our findings will help to better understand this interplay—whether restorative or mutually reinforcing—and to develop innovative around-the-clock therapies for young people.
