We have developed the AdoASSIP suicide prevention program (www.adoassip.ch) for secondary prevention in young people who have attempted suicide. This program aims to reduce the likelihood of repeat suicide attempts by helping at-risk youth identify their basic needs and learn to manage future crises early. Through a carefully structured series of sessions that complement routine clinical care, participants address their suicidal thoughts (suicide mode), emotional needs and coping mechanisms.
In collaboration with several institutions, we are investigating inflammatory, metabolic, endocrinological and lipidomic changes in cooperation with ETH Zurich (Dr. E. Osuma, Dr. Isabelle Herter, Dr. Jeanine Baumgarter), the Children's Hospital Zurich (Prof. M. Hersberger), the University Medical Center Utrecht (Dr. Inge Winter-von Rossum), the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (Prof. R. Kahn), the University of Zurich and the Institute of Psychiatry London (Prof. Carmine Pariante).
